Marriott Bonvoy Q1 Promotion: 2,500 Bonus Worth a Stay and Add Elite Nights

Marriott Bonvoy Q1 Promotion: 2,500 Bonus Worth a Stay and Add Elite Nights

Marriott Bonvoy has kicked off its first global promotion of 2026, offering members a chance to earn 2,500 bonus points per eligible paid stay along with extra elite night credits. This early-year promotion is traditionally the most generous of the year, giving travelers a head start on accumulating points and boosting their status across Marriott’s extensive hotel network.

To participate, members must register before completing their first qualifying stay, which can take place anytime between February 25 and May 10, 2026. The promotion rewards stays across multiple Marriott brands, and bonus elite nights are awarded per brand, helping members reach higher elite tiers faster. Only cash-paid stays are eligible, and points are credited once the standard stay points post.

Even though the bonus points may seem modest on a per-stay basis, they add up quickly, especially for travelers who plan multiple trips or stay at a variety of Marriott properties. Combined with Marriott Bonvoy’s normal points earning rates and elite bonuses, this promotion can provide significant value for both points collectors and status seekers heading into the first months of the year.

How the Promotion Works

This is a new promotion that applies to the period between February 25 and May 10, 2026, and this promotion must be registered prior to the completion of your first qualifying stay. Registration ends on April 26, 2026, and may be done through the Marriott Bonvoy site or app, in the promotions tab. Stays fully paid in cash only qualify, Cash + Points or Award night stays do not.

In most cases, the 2,500 bonus points and elite night credits are added within a ten days of the entry of the regular points earned on your stay. You can really get these rewards by making Bonvoy points your earning preference instead of airline miles. Elite nights are granted based on the number of brands stayed within the promotion period, as opposed to per night, and thus the more brands one has stayed with the Marriott brand, the better the rewards.

Value of the Bonus

The value of Marriott Bonvoy points is usually estimated at about 0.7 cents apiece, implying that a 2,500-point bonus will have a value of about 17.50 dollars. This can be considered humble, but it will soon accumulate in case you book several stays. Another perk that has proven beneficial to individuals who want to advance to higher tiers of status is bonus elite nights, which are given out in lesser amounts than in some of the past promotions, which included a bonus night after every night stayed.

Despite the restrictions, this offer is one of the strongest promotions of early-year travel by Marriott, particularly considering the members who intend to stay in multiple brands.

Normal Points Earnings

In the absence of this promotion, Bonvoy members can earn 10 points per dollar at most of the Marriott properties, and limited-service brands can earn 5 points per dollar. The position of elite also increases the point earnings: Silver members receive 10 percent bonus, Gold 25 percent, Platinum 50 percent, and Titanium or Ambassador 75 percent.

There are also co-branded Marriott credit cards which boost points accumulation. As an illustration, the Marriott Bonvoy Business, American Express, Card and Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant, American Express, Card enable cardholders to receive as many as 6 points per dollar when they stay at Marriott hotels. Together with elite bonuses, a Titanium member with a co-branded card might receive the equivalent of 23.5 points per dollar, which is equivalent to 16% on hotel expenditures.

Maximizing the Offer

The best way that travelers can make the most out of this promotion is to stay in various Marriott brands, book with co-branded cards, and make short or mid-range stays where the 2500-point flat bonus would be more of the points earned. By separating the stays between the brands of Ritz-Carlton, Westin, W Hotels, and St. Regis, it is also possible to get to the elite status faster.

Both the luxury and the mid-tier properties have high-value redemptions. As an illustration, in resorts such as St. Regis Bora Bora or Ritz-Carlton Kyoto, it would be possible to use bonus points, whereas with shorter escapes to W Hotels or Courtyard hotels, the value of the points-to-cash would be great.

Bottom Line

The Q1 2026 promotion of Marriott Bonvoy is not complex but effective. The 2,500 bonus points per paid stay that is eligible and 1 bonus elite night per brand stay in qualifies the members as a great opportunity both to gain points and to attain status.

Registration open and stay until May 10, 2026, so it is high time to start working on future trips. This promotion would maximize Marriott Bonvoy rewards whether you are traveling to a luxury resort or a city hotel.
