Qatar Airways is having a 4th of July sale, which will see you save 15% and collect Bonus Avios before July 6

While not every prior offer from major international carriers will help you cut corners on a major purchase decision, it's time to take Qatar Airways' current offering on the Fourth of July a look. The airline is also running up to 15% discount on economy and business class flights from the U.S., and its also another Avios bonus opportunity that increases cabin value, depending on the cabin you're flying in.

As with most short-term airline sales, it comes with a booking deadline, July 6, 2026. So this is a promotion that you will need to consider today, not when you have the time to do it later in the year.

The Discount: What's on the Table

The discount of up to 15% is available on Qatar Airways flights from the United States, for both economy and business class from July 4, 2026, to March 31, 2027. The travel window is pretty broad, as it includes the rest of summer, the fall, the holiday shoulder season, and a good chunk of Q1 of next year, so it's a little flexibility to travelers who have some general idea of where they want to go, but not a firm date.

This sale includes flights to some of the nation's leading international gateways. Here's the list of eligible U.S. departure points:

  • Atlanta (ATL), Boston (BOS), Chicago (ORD), Dallas (DFW), Houston (IAH)
  • Los Angeles (LAX), Miami (MIA), New York JFK, San Francisco (SFO), Seattle (SEA), Washington D.C. (IAD)

The destinations offered with the sale cover Africa, Asia and the Middle East, all of which Qatar Airways has very good connectivity in its hub at Doha. The Qatar Airways network from Doha is one of the more comprehensive networks available from the U.S. for anyone considering a trip to Southeast Asia, South Asia, East Africa or the Middle East.

The discount is available only for bookings done directly through Qatar Airways either on the website or the mobile app.

The Blackout Dates Worth Noting

There's no such thing as promos when travel is at its peak and this one is no different. Blackout dates go in both directions, and need to be examined closely before deciding that your preferred travel window is safe. The periods not to be included are:

  • Inbound flights (arrivals from the U.S.): November 20–22, 2026 and December 11–23, 2026
  • Inbound flights (returns to U.S.): July 15–August 31, 2026; November 29–30, 2026; and January 1–10, 2027

The biggest exclusion for travelers looking to take a trip in the near future is the summer blackout, which is from mid-July through the end of August. Those return flights, which will make the overall value calculation different, won't fly the discounted price if you're thinking about flying out after July 6 and back in late summer. Notably, under the same outbound blackout, holiday travelers will find that the time when they're most likely to be trying to leave for overseas holiday trips is from December 11 to 23.

The free bonus Avios is a promotion code that is not to be missed

In addition to the percentage discount, Qatar Airways has added bonus Avios for Privilege Club members who book using the promo code AMOFFER26. Bonus is based on cabin:

Economy class bookings will get 2,000 bonus Avios, while business class bookings will get 4,000 bonus Avios. At about 1.25 cents per Avios, that's about $25 worth of travel value on economy flights and $50 on business class travel, a relatively painless bolt-on to the miles that you would normally be accruing with the flights themselves.

These bonus miles aren't inconsequential if you already already have a good Avios score in your Privilege Club account or you're working toward a specific redemption to Qatar Airways Qsuites. Four thousand bonus Avios won't come cheap alone but it can definitely contribute to an ongoing collection.

If you don't currently have an account with Qatar Airways Privilege Club, you'll be glad to learn that it is free to join, and in just a few minutes, you can get set up so you can redeem the bonus Avios, which will get credited upon booking!

This Sale is for:

The percentage discount plus a large departure footprint in the U.S. and a long travel window through March 2027 makes this offer more appealing to the masses than most airline holiday sales, which are more geographically specific or limited by a short travel window.

Clearly, the most obvious audience for this is the traveler who has already decided to travel to Asia, the Middle East or Africa in the coming months but has yet to make their travel plans, especially if they have some flexibility on return dates that avoids the inbound blackout periods. The combined benefit is the greatest for business class travellers in that category: a 15% discount on what are already high value fares and an extra 4,000 bonus Avios valued at about $50.

If the travel dates are right, the discount is equally attractive to the economy traveler, and the 2,000 bonus Avios are an extra bonus.

Before July 6, what to do?

The period of time indicated below is brief. The hard booking date is July 6, and it doesn't sound like Qatar Airways will extend it. The best way to do this is to first determine your tentative travel dates, check if the dates you are considering are within the blackout dates, do some price checking for your destination, then book directly from Qatar Airways website or app using the promo code AMOFFER26 at checkout.

As long as you were already planning on flying Qatar Airways to any of the destinations listed above, there is a simple argument for booking the flight before the weekend deadline instead of waiting.

The Bottom Line

With the sale starting on July 1, 2026, and running through March 31, 2027, Qatar Airways is offering up to 15% off on economy and business class airfares from 11 departure cities in the U.S. with a 10% booking discount for the sale. Under the sale, Qatar Airways will be offering up to 15% discounts on fares for its economy and business class tickets from 11 U.S. departure cities, with the booking discount being 10% and the sale being valid through March 31, 2027.

Travel date flexibility is important, as there are blackout periods in mid-July through August for inbound travel and key travel dates in December for outbound travel. In addition, to those 2,000 Avios, Privilege Club members can add an extra 2,000 Avios (or 4,000 Avios in business class) to their accounts using the promo code AMOFFER26, which is worth around $25 (or $50) at standard Avios valuations. The deal is intended for those who have plans in their future for international travel soon, so if you do, then this is a great sale to make before Sunday's deadline as you will qualify for the discount and bonus Avios.
