World of Hyatt Enhances its all inclusive portfolio with Bahia Principe Resorts

World of Hyatt Enhances its all inclusive portfolio with Bahia Principe Resorts

The Hyatt loyalty program is also about to embark on further major expansion into its all-inclusive offering. Starting in March 2026, guests can earn and redeem World of Hyatt points at a wide range of Bahia Principe Hotels and Resorts, which will be a significant achievement in Hyatt continuing to enter the all-inclusive field.

This step has been planned many years ago due to a strategic alliance initially announced in late 2024 between Hyatt and the parent company of Bahia Principe, Grupo Piñero. The joint venture is now ready to launch more than one year of planning and integration later, 22 other resorts will become part of the Inclusive Collection of Hyatt and the customers of the partnership will have even more opportunities to redeem their points in the most popular vacation spots.

Long-Anticipated Collaboration Lastly Seals the Deal

The announcement of a joint venture between Hyatt and Grupo Piñero at the end of 2024 brought at once the attention of the regular travelers and the fans of the loyalty programs. Bahia Principe is a brand that is famous in the all-inclusive resort segment, especially in the Caribbean, Mexico, and Spain.

Nevertheless, the launch was not as quick as expected despite the excitement. Officially, Hyatt did not even have a launch date until early 2026. Bahia Principles Hotels and Resorts will officially become a part of World of Hyatt Inclusive Collection on March 24, 2026 and the 38 th separate brand of the reward system.

What is particularly interesting about this addition is that the properties of Bahia Principe will lead on the standard all-inclusive award chart as practiced by Hyatt, as opposed to the dynamic pricing model that is gaining prevalence among newer hotel brands.

Members should expect what World of Hyatt has to offer.

After the integration, the members of the World of Hyatt staying at the participating Bahia Principe resorts will be offered several benefits familiar to them. Such benefits are similar to what the members are currently getting in the other Hyatt all-inclusive properties.

Key benefits include:

  • 5 World of Hyatt base points on every valid U.S. dollar on room rates.
  • Nights that are counted in qualifying as an elite status.
  • Goal achievement in Milestone Rewards.

The chance to redeem points on a fixed award system of Hyatt where free nights begin at 12,000 points a night.

Elite members are provided with on-property benefits such as room upgrades, priority services, or other benefits based on level of status.

This equates to the Bahia Principe stays now being useful both in terms of points earning and long-term loyalty targets to the loyal guests at Hyatt.

The location of Bahia Principe Resorts

The footprint of the Bahia Principe is very concentrated around already existing leisure destinations and as such, it is a familiar place to the travelers who like taking sun and sand vacations. Although, the partnership does not expand geographical locations of Hyatt, it does bring width and variety to existing markets.

Dominican Republic

The Dominican Republic is the country that contains the most Bahia Principe resorts which include family hotels and adults only luxury resorts in such destinations as Punta Cana, Saman and La Romana.

In other destinations beyond the Dominican Republic, Bahia Principe has resorts in Jamaica, the Riviera Maya of Mexico and the Canary Islands of Spain, offering an eclectic blend of luxury, family-friendly and adults-only vacation options.

Learning the various Resort Styles

The categories of resorts at Bahia Principe are clearly defined, which is one of the aspects that distinguish this resort. Although the amenities and experiences differ based on the location, the vast majority of the properties fall into three primary styles.

Fantasia Resorts

The fantasia properties are targeting families. These resorts tend to carry grandiose, theme park-like components, such as castle-like structures around the pools, children clubs and entertainment programs that cater to the younger visitors. They are most appropriate to travelers who bring kids on holidays in an environment that is full of activities.

Grand Resorts

Grand category is the mainstay of the Bahia Principe brand. These resorts are also larger and have hundreds of rooms, several dining spots and large grounds. They strive to create a balance between affordability and diversity, and they are liked by couples, as well as families and even groups.

Luxury Resorts

Luxury Bahia Principe buildings are oriented on the more elite experience. Some of them are adults only, and they provide better-upgraded food, a more peaceful environment, and better-quality service. Although they are not actually ultra-luxury in relation to the global standards, they are the most luxurious within the brand.

The role of Bahia Principe as part of the All-Inclusive Strategy of Hyatt

Hyatt has over the past few years been actively establishing its all-inclusive services, especially by acquisition and alliances in the Caribbean and Mexico. Having the above background, the add-on of Bahia Principe is not so much of an expansion in terms of geography but rather a strategic enhancement.

Majority of Bahia Princes are situated on the destinations that Hyatt already has all-inclusive resorts operating under the brands such as Hyatt Zilara, Hyatt Ziva and Secrets. Consequently, passengers will not be able to access a completely new set of areas, yet they will have greater options in the various price ranges.

According to initial signs, certain Bahia Principe hotels will drift in the lower award categories such as Category A in off-peak seasons. It might make them a good choice to people who prefer to redeem their World of Hyatt points further as all-inclusive redemption rates increase globally.

What Critiques Recommend of the Experience

The reviews of the Bahia Principles resorts conducted by guests are inclined to rank the resorts in the middle of the all-inclusive rating. Although a large number of travelers compliment the size of the resorts, beach access, and overall value, they should be in line with the positioning of the brand.

They are not luxury hideaways of boutique or low end. They instead target travellers seeking a full service vacation experience with guaranteed inclusions, a variety of eating choices, and high-scale entertainment, and at a price that is usually lower than some of the upscale all-inclusive brands of Hyatt.

To members of World of Hyatt, that might manifest into a more varied array of redemption choices, particularly whenever a family or group of people are on a vacation.

Final Takeaway

The addition of Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts to World of Hyatt in March 2026 represents a meaningful, if not revolutionary, expansion of Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection. While the partnership doesn’t unlock new destinations, it significantly increases the number of all-inclusive properties available for both earning and redeeming points.

For travelers who value flexibility, predictable award pricing, and a wide range of resort styles, Bahia Principe could become a practical and appealing option particularly as Hyatt’s all-inclusive portfolio continues to evolve.

If you’ve stayed at a Bahia Principe resort before, your firsthand experience could be invaluable for others considering these properties under the World of Hyatt umbrella. As always, real-world insights often matter just as much as award charts and brand names.
