Those who have been patiently waiting for a redemption that feels like it's worth their time (mind you, years of award devaluations and a gradual increase of surcharges on standard award tickets) may want to look at this promotion. The dual-track offer runs until 31 August 2026, and effectively opens two different redemption value scenarios: cash bookings (Emirates and flydubai) and reduced miles prices (on partner airlines EasyJet and Jet2).
While neither route is ideal for every traveler, for the right traveller with the right travel itinerary, either one of the above options could be the best use of Emirates miles this week. Let's explain each of the options and who it would be best suited for.
Emirates' Cash+Miles payment option is further bolstered with the first piece of this promotion, which means travelers can mix and match miles and cash to buy their ticket instead of paying all cash or all miles. The deal is that 2,000 Skywards miles will equal $30 of a ticket, as opposed to 2,000 miles of a regular ticket, which is worth $15. This is a 1:1 increase in cash value, which equals 1.5 cents per mile.
This is for Emirates and flydubai-managed flights and ancillary services, such as excess baggage, lounge access and seat selection. The offer applies to Emirates and flydubai flights on Economy, Premium Economy, Business and First Class classes on all of their networks, with flights from the start of the offer on May 21 to August 31, 2026.

The second track isn't as fancy, but may be useful for certain types of travelers. Emirates Skywards members will also be able to travel with Emirates Skywards on EasyJet or Jet2 airfares at 50% discount during the same promotion. The price of £49 was previously 9,000 miles but now costs 4,500 miles the value being approximately 1.5 cents per mile.
Although Emirates Skywards members don't think of EasyJet or Jet2 when it comes to redemptions. They're budget European carriers, with very little “boutique” in their hospitality, at least in terms of the Emirates "premium cabin" most Skywards collectors are going for. In Europe where efficient transportation across the continent is essential for those making longer haul trips, say from Emirates to Europe to board a regional flight, the option of using miles to cover the cost of a budget carrier at a reasonable price, has practical appeal.
The truth is this offer is for a certain Skywards user base and if you become part of that user base, it is actually helpful. Here's a quick checklist to help you determine if it applies to you:
The booking and travel period for the promotion will be May 21 August 31, 2026. Book all flights via official Emirates channels the emirates.com website, the Emirates app, Emirates contact centres or via flydubai's online channels. Family accounts and Skysurfers accounts are not eligible.
An important operation fact: if the Cash+Miles element is checked off and confirmed at check-out, then this rate is final. If there are further amendments or re-issues with extra fees, they will all be in cash. When a booking is cancelled or changed the promotional miles rate is no longer applied and the booking will be charged at standard rates. Knowing this beforehand helps to avoid disappointment if there are any changes to travel plans.
In addition, Miles and Tier Miles still accumulate on the cash value of any Cash+Miles booking, so it's a minor but valuable added bonus to the improved redemption.
Emirates Skywards' redemption rate of 1.5 cents per mile is not bad at all, especially in comparison to the ever-rising surcharges that come with traditional Emirates business and first class award tickets. Emirates' redemptions can be amazing (in the best sense of the word) with a mileage cost that is made even more significant by a fuel surcharge.
If you have balances that you hoped would qualify you for a premium cabin opportunity but not yet, or if you have balances that are not quite big enough for a full award ticket in the cabin that you want, the Cash+Miles promotional rate provides a solid middle ground. It won't generate an article on sleeping in first class on Emirates, but it will always pocket 1.5 cents per mile redeemed, which is a rate worth considering in today's market.

There's a real chance for Emirates Skywards members to claim at 1.5 cents per mile on Emirates, flydubai, EasyJet and Jet2 flights, with the last date to claim until August 31, 2026. The Cleaner of the two is the Cash+Miles enhancement on Emirates and flydubai it is more suitable for travellers who have an upcoming book-in or a balance that had been tough to deploy effectively. The EasyJet and Jet2 route is more specialized, but convenient for those who want to travel to Europe with regional connections. Both are non-revolutionary, but both provide a known and predictable value that is better than letting miles sit idle or worse go to waste.
